Arnold's coffee comes in 1 pound and 2 pound bags. It is available as Whole Bean or Custom Ground. Once opened our coffee should be stored in an airtight container. Ground coffee should be used in 10 to 14 days. Arnold uses the very best packaging materials available. Within minutes of the roast, the coffees are packaged in multilayered foil composite bags that have been thoroughly flushed with nitrogen. The expense of care we take in packaging ensures that our clients receive their coffees as fresh as the day it was roasted.

Arnold and his roaster are meticulous when it comes to selecting the green coffees we use from around the world. Scores of green coffee samples are roasted and cupped before we choose any origin coffee. After all, unless we start with the best green coffees, all the care and effort we put into roasting and packaging would be unnecessary. When it comes to our trademarked and Private Reserve coffees, the selection process goes from picky to fanatical. We either grow, process and import the coffee ourselves or supervise throughout their journey from seed to cup. By handling these coffees ourselves, we can control the quality through each of the critical steps towards development. The result is a small group of Central and South American coffees that are consistently excellent and unmatched for quality by any other coffees from these regions.

Arnold's Private Reserve Costa Rican Hard Bean (SHB) Coffee

Coffee

Strictly Hard Bean Coffee (SHB) beans are harder and denser than beans grown at lower elevations. They are grown at elevations of 4,500-5,000 feet above sea level. SHB coffee beans ripen more slowly, and they are more difficult to harvest because of this altitude. This leads to increased expense and lower yield. SHB coffee produces an intense flavor that has notes of berry and chocolate with a smooth aftertaste. Strictly Hard Bean coffees are in limited supply! So don't miss out!

Sumatra Ache Gold (Pronounced Ah-Chay)

Coffee

You know about Costa Rica La Minita™, the world’s most meticulously prepared coffee at every step, from planting, picking, washing, to drying. Even at that, they are so picky and sort through the beans so many times at every stage of processing that less than 25% of the crop ends up branded with the La Minita name. Now, the company owns an estate in Sumatra, and they do the exact same thing there. The resulting harvest is what they’re branding Ache Gold Sumatra—a clean, complex, meticulously processed washed coffee. La Minita means “little gold mine,” so that’s how they came up with the Ache Gold name. Limited supply
